1935	Deputation from Club approached Mr Murdoch MP to urge Government to introduce Milk in Schools
	Inaugurated a scheme - president of the Club should plant (each year) a Pohutukawa tree at Whangarei Hospital
1957	Moody's Ave Playlot handed over to Borough Council
1958	Handing over of Mosaic Map in front of Post Office (now Laurie Hall Park)
1966	Began the Kissing Point reclamation (1 acre)
1971	20 Pohutukawa & Banksia trees planted along Tameterau Foreshore
1972	Installed coin operated Telescope on Parakaki
1976	Museum Gateways erected - celebrating 50th anniversary
1977	Formation of a car park at top of Mt Tiger
1982	Built & donated a tandem axle trailer to Salvation Army
1994	Helicopter Pad on Hospital roof - $150,000
1995	Hospice appeal - $60,000
1996	Children's Playground - Town Basin - $35,000
2005	Quarry Gardens Bridge - Celebrating 100 years of Rotary (Combined Whangarei Clubs) - $30,000
2006	Quarry Garden - M. McCoy Trust - $4000
2007	Donation to Rescue Helicopter (NEST) for Navigation Equipment ($7,000) Northland Clubs combined

 Annual Events of Grants
                          Speech Contest for Secondary School Students. Started in 1961 and held every year since.
                              Aim of the Contest is to promote the art of public speaking amongst young people.
                              The winner each year wins a all expense paid holiday to Australia hosted by The Rotary Club of Tweed Heads
